High profile award for Carbery

Carbery wins Cork Chamber of Commerce Award
Carbery Group was recently awarded the Cork Chamber/Vodafone Cork Company of the Year Award. Accepting the Cork Company of the Year Award on behalf of Carbery Group Dan MacSweeney, Chief Executive said, “Indigenous businesses are vital to our economy and, as one such business, this award will be welcomed and appreciated by our 1,500 suppliers, our shareholders, our employees and our valued national and international customers.”

Since 1965, Carbery Group has grown from a single site dairy manufacturing facility to a multi-national business which today includes operations in Ireland, the U.K., the U.S. and commercial / technical centres in South America and the Far East. The company began operations from its headquarters in Ballineen, Co Cork forty-five years ago. Today it has a turnover of €220m and circa 400 employees.

Having diversified by acquisitive growth in recent years, the business is now a significant player in the global flavour food ingredients market via its Synergy business which has operations in the UK, North and South America and the Far East. Carbery is continuing to invest significantly in R&D to develop new business opportunities.
