FutureProof Phase Two
Supporting Sustainable Farming
Introducing FutureProof Sustainability Bonus
What is FutureProof?
FutureProof is Carbery’s sustainability program designed to support farmers in adopting environmentally friendly practices while improving farm efficiency and profitability. Launched in 2022, the program rewards milk suppliers for implementing measurable actions that reduce emissions, protect water quality, and enhance soil health.
By participating in FutureProof, farmers can access expert advice, subsidies, and financial bonuses of up to 1.25cpl on their milk supply. Together, we’re building a more sustainable future for Irish dairy farming, ensuring a positive environmental impact and long-term resilience for farms in West Cork.
FutureProof: Moving to Phase Two
We’re proud to announce the successful completion of FutureProof Phase One, with 85% of our farmers implementing impactful sustainability measures. These efforts have made significant progress in reducing emissions, protecting water quality, and improving farm productivity across West Cork.
As we transition into Phase Two, we’re introducing new opportunities for farmers to enhance their sustainability practices and increase their financial rewards. Results from Phase One will be shared soon, showcasing the positive impact of the program and setting the stage for even greater achievements in 2025 and beyond.
