Carbery launches Isolac Clear PLUS

Whey protein specialist Carbery has developed a new whey protein isolate for ready to drink beverages. Isolac Clear+ is ideally suited to low pH drinks and works well with many flavours and mainstream functional beverages. Produced using Ultra Filtration and Cross Flow Micro Filtration, Isolac Clear+ ensures high quality and purity.
Delivering excellent biological value, clarity and a clean taste, it enhances a wide range of applications, such as functional waters and beverages, energy drinks, recovery drinks and high protein muscle building products. Isolac Clear+ complements Carbery’s Isolac Clear, an ingredient designed for low protein Ready to Drink and powdered beverages.

FOCUS GROUPS
A recent focus group study conducted by Carbery investigated consumer reaction to protein fortified drinks. The study revealed that consumers are attracted to the idea of sipping water through the day to aid satiety and curb the urge to snack. For consumers, a clear beverage with natural flavours fitted best with the slimming message. The focus groups also identified the health benefits of protein as an important supporting message. Isolac Clear+ provides the high protein content to deliver satiating effects, as well as clarity and a clean taste to maintain consumer appeal. By working closely with flavour division Synergy, Carbery has the capability to also supply customised flavours for beverage applications.
